House of Clarendon

Julie Bashore, Master Confectioner, is a native of England who has an award winning twenty year background in Culinary and Confectionery Arts. She has taught courses and demonstrated at expositions in England, France, Switzerland, Mexico, USA, and Zimbabwe.

Her husband, Bucky, her partner in life and now in business, is a native of Schuykill Haven and retired from a distinguished career with our government overseas. Their goal is to bring the best eclectic desserts, wedding cakes and handmade chocolates to their guests’ tables.

The House of Clarendon, situated on the corner of West Walnut and Water Streets in Lancaster City, is an English Tea Room, Coffee and Pastry Shop. Also a bakery, specializing in delicious attractive European style cakes for every occasion. Pastries and light luncheon fare may also be enjoyed outside under the umbrellas on the spacious deck. Clarendon hosts a Bridal Cake Gallery where brides may sample and design their own wedding cakes.
